Building 5 at Victoria Point, Manchester, involved the conversion of an existing Class C3 apartment building comprising 45 residential apartments into a 135-bedroom purpose-built student accommodation scheme.
The refurbishment included a new roof structure and replacement of all windows and cladding. A tight 20-week construction programme was a central delivery challenge, with M R Allen Limited as main contractor.
The project forms part of Josh McGuinness’s professional track record, delivered on behalf of Empiric Student Property. His experience shown here relates specifically to Building 5, rather than the whole Victoria Point development.
